Hong Kong Open and Aussie Open
22/11/17 03:42
Aussie Open
Spieth has been backed into around 2/1 since I did the work yesterday. Still 6/1 best Day. I think Spieth is a good bet, even at a price that looks skinny for a full field event. There is no depth here. If it was a regular PGA Tour event players like Pampling would be 300/1+ and not 28/1 like they are here.
Day or Spieth should win this and even without his regular caddy I would back the two time (2 out of last 3) Aussie Open Champ Jordan Spieth. Day hasn’t won, or really looked like winning, for more than 18 months...
I would take the 2/1 or bigger.
Hong Kong Open - Outright
A lot of tired players arrive in Hong Kong. Rose has a very good record here and the numbers look good but you would have to think last week will have really hurt him mentally and he will just be going through the motions here. I do quite like Garcia but the price does not have huge appeal.
I really like Jazz Janewattananond. He is a hugely talented young player who has had cracking results in Asia the last year or so. Never a 100/1 chance. A good each way bet. I am also going to back Hideto Tanihara again, I will persevere. He is a little out of sorts but he is a big price and is more capable of winning this. He is available at 100/1+.
Gavin Green represents good value but he may find this course a little tight, he has ability but can be wild. I really don’t know very much about Scott Vincent who I think got through Tour School last week. My numbers say he is better than his price but I can’t confirm that. Best watched.
So there we go. Back Spieth in Australia (Starts Wednesday night) and back Jazz and Tanihara in Hong Kong, Garcia if you wish.

My advice comes with a point system to rate the strength of a tip. A '1 point' bet means placing your usual stake, so if you would consider your normal bet being £10 then '1 point' signifies £10.
